October 2021 PSAT Power Course
The PSAT is an important first step in your student’s standardized college admissions exam path. While extensive PSAT prep is unnecessary for most students, our specially designed Power Course will present just the right level of depth, strategy, and information that all students should know to perform at their best.
In the first 2-hour session, we’ll cover the structure of the PSAT’s first two sections—Reading and Writing & Language—by focusing on the most important question types and strategies needed to maximize scores. We’ll discuss effective reading comprehension techniques, elements of grammar, and various traps to be avoided.
In the second 2-hour session, we’ll discuss strategies all students will need to address the question types they’re most likely to encounter on the No Calculator and Calculator sections of the PSAT. We’ll emphasize algebra, coordinate geometry, and widely applicable problem solving techniques.
In this class, we'll cover:
- The most important and frequently appearing question types, and how to approach them
- Strategies for anticipating question types and avoiding tricks
- Mon Oct 11th8:00 pm - 10:00 pmET
- Tue Oct 12th8:00 pm - 10:00 pmET
