Pre-Algebra
Pre-algebra class is one of the most important math classes for students, as it forms the foundation for nearly everything they will learn in math in high school and college. Method Learning’s new 9-hour Pre-Algebra A and Pre-Algebra B courses will give students the knowledge and skills that they need to feel confident as they enter Algebra 1. The courses are perfect for students seeking to review and also for students who have never taken pre-algebra.
Both of our Pre-Algebra courses are suitable for advanced 5th and 6th graders as well as for 7th and 8th graders who would like to build a strong foundation in pre-algebra concepts. Students who complete Pre-Algebra A are encouraged to also take Pre-Algebra B for a comprehensive review of pre-algebra topics.
Concepts covered in this course include:
- Multiples and divisibility
- Factors and primes
- PEMDAS (Order of operations)
- Exponents
- Evaluating expressions
- Operations with integers
