Nichelle has more than twenty years of experience in college counseling and student services. She has held leadership roles in public schools, private schools, and nonprofit organizations, and is a certified K–12 School Counselor in Florida, Texas, and Virginia. In addition to her work with students, Nichelle serves as a Counselor Supervisor, mentoring and training new school counselors entering the profession. A member of both NACAC and SACAC, Nichelle is deeply committed to expanding college access for students of all backgrounds. Her students have been admitted to Ivy League and Ivy Plus institutions, top liberal arts colleges, single-gender schools, and leading research universities. Many have also earned highly selective scholarships such as Posse and QuestBridge. Nichelle’s expertise includes international admissions through UCAS as well as universities in Madrid and Barcelona, such as IE University, and across the Netherlands. She also advises students pursuing graduate and professional school programs and helps families understand distinctions among NCAA athletic divisions and recruitment processes. She has designed and led professional development trainings on college access and career development and partners with community youth organizations to help students identify postsecondary options that align with their academic and personal goals. Born in Miami and raised abroad, Nichelle has lived in Cairo, Istanbul, Santa Cruz, and London. She continues to travel extensively and enjoys spending time with her daughter. Getting Started: Nichelle will contact both the parent and student by email to set up the first meeting. Before the meeting, families are encouraged to share relevant academic information, such as an unofficial transcript and any available test scores (for example, ACT, PSAT, or SAT).
