Tom Ehlers

Tom Ehlers is the Founder of Method Learning and a nationally respected expert in standardized test preparation, college admissions strategy, and educational consulting. A graduate of Princeton University, Tom also completed Princeton’s Teacher Preparation Program, where he developed the foundation for a career dedicated to helping students unlock their academic potential.
Since 1999, Tom has helped students and families navigate the increasingly complex world of standardized testing and college admissions. In addition to working directly with students, he has served as an educational consultant to school districts across the country, advising educators and administrators on strategies to improve college admissions test outcomes and expand student access to higher education opportunities.
Tom founded Method Test Prep with the belief that every student can succeed when given the right strategies, guidance, and encouragement. What began as Method Test Prep has grown into Method Learning, a national education company that supports families through test preparation, college advising, and financial planning for college.
Widely respected in the test preparation community, Tom is a long-term member of the National Test Prep Association and regularly participates in national conferences focused on standardized testing and college admissions, ensuring Method Learning remains at the forefront of new trends and strategies that benefit students and families.
Tom lives with his wife, Ally, and their twins, Jonathan and Julia. His personal motto reflects the optimism he brings to his work with students and families every day: “Keep your face to the sunshine and you will never see the shadows.”
