After 9/11, for over a decade, as a scholar, advisor, and writer, Dr. Castilla focused on international politics in Europe. His book, Re-imagining European Identity Politics in the 21st Century, along with his contributions to cultural diplomacy, and peace & security studies have been supported and recognized by the U.S. State Department, the United Nations, UNESCO, and distinguished American and European universities and NGOs.

During his free time, Alexander enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves exploring different cultures and meeting new friends, and has traveled extensively in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia.
