Blair Dean is the Assistant Director of College Advising at Method Learning, where she works closely with the Director of College Advising to support the leadership and day-to-day operations of the advising team. With more than 20 years of experience in college advising, she helps ensure students and families receive consistent, high-quality guidance throughout the college admissions process while supporting advisors across the organization.

In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Blair maintains a full caseload of advising students and families. She works closely with students to develop thoughtful college strategies, build balanced college lists, and guide them through each step of the application process with clarity and organization.

Blair has experience advising students across a wide range of academic interests and college goals, including students with highly specialized talents and those pursuing admission to highly selective universities. She helps students identify their strengths, shape their personal narrative, and present themselves authentically throughout the admissions process as they work toward their college goals.

In her leadership role, Blair helps guide the structure and standards of Method Learning’s advising program. She co-created the Method Learning College Advising Curriculum, a structured framework that guides students and families step by step through the college planning process while ensuring consistency across the advising team.

Blair also partners with the Director of College Advising to lead monthly professional development for Method Learning advisors, helping the team stay current on admissions trends, evolving policies, and best practices in college advising.

Blair earned her Master’s degree in Education Policy and Leadership from Harvard University. Originally from Illinois, Blair now resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband, David, and their son, where they enjoy exploring all that Music City has to offer, including sporting events, music, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
