Betsy Stangel brings over 23 years of experience in college advising, helping thousands of families navigate the often overwhelming college admissions and financial aid process with confidence and clarity. As Director of College Advising at Method Learning, Betsy leads a team of expert advisors, ensuring families receive exceptional, personalized support at every stage of their journey—from academic planning to financial strategy to final college decisions. Before joining Method Learning, Betsy spent twelve years building and leading a comprehensive college counseling program at a private 8–12 high school in Louisiana. She later founded her own successful independent practice, The College Admissions Expert®, where she continued to guide students and families nationwide. Betsy is especially passionate about helping families understand the financial side of college. She’s known for her expertise in financial aid and scholarships, as well as her ability to help families create smart, well-balanced college lists that reflect both academic and financial fit. Betsy is an active member of NACAC, IECA, and Ohio ACAC, regularly attending national conferences and participating in professional development to stay current with evolving trends in admissions and financial aid.
